Main Tournament (IAPG Cup / JAPG Cup)
This year, 64 players in 32 pairs were chosen from qualifying tournaments held in eight areas of Japan and from tournaments for students and junior players. They will compete in a five-round Swiss System tournament.
This year, participation by players not of Japanese nationality in the Japanese qualifying tournaments was permitted. The pair that wins the tournament will receive the IAPG (International Amateur Pair Go) Cup. The top-finishing pair of Japanese nationality will become the All-Japan Amateur Pair Go Champions (JAPG Cup).
